
The University of the Philippines (UP) Marine Science Institute will be holding Unveiling the Depths: Navigating the Waves of Philippine Oceanography Through Time on January 8, 2:00 p.m. at the MSI Audio-Visual Room, UP MSI, Quezon City. The event is part of the MSI@50 Lecture Series, which is an official United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Ocean Decade activity, which feautures various topics and disciplines in marine science.
The speaker for the event is National Academy of Science and Technology Academician and Professor Cesar Villanoy, PhD of the UP MSI. Dr. Villanoy has been’s work has been influential in the development of Philippine oceanography, particularly in studies related to algal blooms and storm surges.
